An excellent store to experience and check out if you’re in Oahu. I would highly recommend this amazing grocery store. It has SO many products that you can find from Japan. The products ranges from car interior, kitchenware, bakery, a grocery store filled with the usual Asian ingredients. There are so many products. So many foods. So many things you will be able to find here. They also have very good deals on souvenirs. You’ll find haircare products, bathroom products, and much more. Parking is tight but you will be able to find spots. It’s easy to navigate through.

The store is well lit and very well organized. But the labels are a bit hard to read on your first experience but overall, still a solid place to the stuff you need.

I love this place. I wish there was one on the east coast. Endless Japanese products and food. I bought the roll cake from here every day for 2 weeks. The prices are more affordable than the ABC stores and other gift shops. You can literally find almost anything here. Bring reusable bags.

Awesome supermarket with a heavy influence of Asian food and merchandise. Love going here. Parking can be a hassle. I usually park in the garage across the street…it’s in the shade.

Oh yea, they told me fish on the sushi is fresh, fish used for poke is frozen

Never enough time in a day to browse all of the cool stuff they sell here! From souvenirs to chocolate, to household items—you can find everything! My favourite is the fresh seafood and sashimi, along with musubi! The added bonus is they are open 24/7 which is great when you need something after hours.

Great Japanese/Asian super market where you can find anything under the sun. However the sushi counter is underated and one of the finest on the island. Go early though so you get the fresh stuff.

Five stars for variety and presentation of their prepared foods section! It was wonderful to browse all the food options and the only thing I was sad about was not being able to try it all. I loved, loved, loved, the cut fruit fridge and the poke bar!

If you’re looking for a good place to pick up something for a quick bite, Foodland in Ala Moana Mall is an ideal place to go. Prices are reasonable and food is always fresh especially the poke and sushi. I attribute this to the high turnover of product. They’ve got a huge selection. Get there late and your favorite might be gone. There’s also a small bar in the middle of the store if you’re looking to have drinks and/or pupus.

Exquisite, Immaculate, Sophisticated, beautiful, upscale shopping in the heart of Honolulu/Waikiki! Located in the upscale shopping mall, Ala Moana Mall. In my opinion, nicest grocery shopping store on the island! Shoppers are a mix of tourists and locals. A coworker introduced me to Foodland Farms, and every trip to Honolulu now must include a shopping visit. Once you step inside the store, you will see and feel the difference between Foodland and their competitors. This is a regular size store, NOT a big box nor super mega center store. The fixtures, lighting, displays, flooring and decor are soft, earth tones very soothing and comforting. No bright florescent lighting nor obnoxious store announcements. Shopping here is totally pleasant and stress free! Foodland has all your grocery items and so much more. As you enter the store, you can’t miss the beautiful, fresh, excellently displayed fruits and vegetables! The fresh pineapple cubes are amazing, so delicious!! The bakery is one of my favorite areas, even if just to look and admire the amazing, decadent desserts. The deli serves a wide array of hot and cold food items, including pizza. One of my favorites is the orange chicken. Meats, breads, juices, dairy and everything in between is found here. Although I’m not a seafood nor red meat lover, I enjoy admiring the different selections of meat/seafood cuts at the meat counter. The colors and shapes so perfect they don’t look real (they are!) This store also includes a wine bar, prominently located in the center. Among the many customer friendly features and services; a whole checkout section dedicated to 10 items or less (not just one or two lanes.) There is also additional check out lanes for shoppers whom have more items to purchase. As I often do, I save the best/nicest feature, attribute or service to last; in this instance, the wonderful, professional, friendly, helpful customer service staff! Hawaiians are generally very polite, friendly people. The Foodland staff go above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service and care. In my opinion, Foodland Farm’s employees are some of the most friendly people on the planet!! Foodland Farm’s has my highest recommendation. When visiting or living in the Waikiki area, this is an excellent shopping experience for all your grocery needs!!

Quick ready to eat food available like sushi, there’s a station where you can get Poke Bowls, served with warm white rice ready to enjoy. It’s also a supermarket with a great selection of wines, artisan bread and many more things.

Also they have a bar inside the store where you can drink some wine and beer and try charcuterie. Well equipment store and everyone its so nice.

Place has practically everything you need. It’s clean, with friendly staff, fresh poke, etc. Side note is that there isn’t a large selection of “organic” or healthier alternative produce, if that something you are looking for. The 4 star on my end is for the price (more expensive than Whole Foods as a reference). This is a popular location that attracts a lot of tourists, so the prices are typically higher than other grocery stores in the area. If you don’t mind that, than happy shopping! Plus, if you can’t find parking on ground level there is a ramp on the right side of the store for roof parking. To access roof parking from the store you can take the stairs or elevators. Usually you will find a parking spot up there.

We are spending a week of vacation in Waikiki, looking for where to buy poke, lau lau, salmon fruits, guava drinks and local dishes. I found this Safeway in our neighborhood. I made a good purchase, everything very fresh and well presented, I even added some colorful Hawaiian wooden spoons, a precious souvenir for my kitchen. I highly recommend it.

HUGE store with everything you could need. The isles were well stocked and very organized. Lots of fresh produce and nice meat selection. The only negative about this store is how much everything is!! The essentials like milk, eggs, fruit…the majority were $6-$10 each. So just be prepared to pay a little more.

The current status of this Safeway would be considered “under construction”. I work the evening shift at a nearby restaurant so I’m usually there at an hour approaching midnight. The gentlemen working to give the store a face-lift look seemingly intimidating, but I needed their help to get milk in the middle of their revamp of the dairy section. They were more than happy to assist me at the late hour as their renovation work is done solely overnight. Their Aloha spirit and outstanding assistance in getting my groceries in the middle of working on their project was amazing. Safeway staff is just as attentive and overwhelmingly friendly. The revamped could be a bit more clear, but my experience at this store has been nothing but stress-free during every visit!
