One of my favorite locations. Really busy but clean store, friendly staff and everything’s full stocked. Wide variety of frozen items, wine, produce and flowers. Very quick and efficient check out process. Even with a +20 person check out line it moved really quicklyBy Khoi Nguyen (11 months ago)Very clean excellent location, Great customer service, full of all kinds of merchandise.
Good thing this location is not very busy.
Fresh bread lots of variety of vegetables and other items.By Chaturbhuj bhojwani (a year ago)Superb in every regard. Great content (especially on the frozen foods side) and customer service/attitude plus fair pricing in the scheme. I don’t believe it’s a one stop grocery stop re. its smaller size but I cannot live without it. Fast and efficient checkout. A choice of carts and baskets is always available. Free underground parking for those who drive.By Fergus O’Brien (a month ago)I haven’t seen any other Trader Joe’s branch around this area. probably this is the only one. it is pretty big, and the location is in a busy neighborhood. they have a nice selection of wines, you can buy some nice wine here for reasonable prices.By Moxa (3 months ago)I just love Trader Joe’s! The variety of fruits, cheeses, and of course wines.
TJ’s is my go to store, I’m waiting for the Maple popped corn snacks, and the Maple Coffee, already ground.
The aroma just fills the air making your kitchen an inviting joy for visitors.
Thanks TJ’s for being in the neighborhood and easy to shop.By Debra Spikes (3 months ago)

You may find anything here. Amazon fresh delivery here. Easy parking🅿️ you may find even warm food ready to eat. It is interesting to note that you will not find alcool due to local regulations. From meat, fish 🐠🐟 to pastry everything you need. Vegetables very fresh. Everything well. My favorite > the olives that were amazingly good.By José FERREIRO (ホセ フェレイロ) (9 months ago)This Whole Foods conveniently located in downtown DC. The hot bar has amazing food (I have to eat in my car) The only thing I don’t like is after Amazon bought the store they no longer have dining area. Have lots of parking. Validation is required upon exit.By Henok Garedew (Henny breezy) (11 months ago)Love this Whole Foods. One of the first in our area that is fully automated. Walk in, scan your palm, get your groceries and walk out. So far, the process has been perfect. Selection is great, quality of food is wonderful. A must visit, just even if you want to see the future of grocery stores.By Matthew Henry (5 months ago)I’ve gotten really picky about grocery stores lately. I guess Whole Foods Market is my overall favorite, although it’s pretty expensive. My friends often call it “Whole Paycheck”.
The selection is pretty good, although they definitely seem to consciously avoid cheaper processed foods and sometimes that’s what I really want. In the stores where they can sell beer & wine, they often have a very good selection of beer & cider, equal to or sometimes better than a decent liquor store. I can occasionally get smoked beer (“rauchbier”) from Bamberg, which is a tiny little German town famous for it. Lots of other German beers, Belgian beers, and American craft beers too.
The baked goods are a bit better than the competitors, although outclassed by actual bakeries. They also typically have a hot food bar which isn’t too bad.
The service is always very good, in all the stores I’ve visited. Now that Amazon is consuming Whole Foods Market, there are some interesting integrations and crossovers, as well as more automation. Each store will have an Amazon locker, which can be convenient.
By Dave Watts (a month ago)I wish I could care about places like this but I really don’t. The staff was all so nice and the place is clean. The layout was well curated and the selection was good. Unfortunately the fact that all the produce was obviously picked through to remove “ugly” pieces, mixed with the corporate layout really devalues the entire experience. Support local stores not chains. It’s disappointing to see this kind of stuff in the middle of this otherwise really cool neighborhood.By Gabriel Barghachie (2 months ago)

🌟Very nice food selection. 😊 There’s hot food to choose from as well as deli sliced meat; there are potato salads, pasta salads, etc. also.🌟The bakery section has a good variety of cookies 🍪, cakes 🎂 & pies 🥧 that are delicious 😋 from what I’ve tasted so far. This Giant food store is also close to the metro station.🌟 One of the things I like about this location are the friendly & helpful employees. 🌟Customer service is always key 🗝️ for me & will definitely have me coming back & this store has great staff working here. 🌟There is a parking garage available at this location.By A W (a month ago)The Columbia Heights Giant is the perfect metaphor for the neighborhood: a recently renovated building with grey, modern styling that attempts to dress up an average grocery store providing a standard selection at decent prices. The customer service experience depends on the person and circumstance. Occasionally they are friendly and helpful, other times hostile and rude, but usually the exchange is indifferent and impersonal. Expect to navigate crowded aisles and checkout lines with other patrons just as unenthusiastic about being there as yourself. Like the neighborhood, this Giant leaves the shopper wondering if the location and price was really worth the trade offs.By Brian Shaw (a month ago)Easily the worst grocery store I’ve ever been in. I can’t count the number of times I’ve planned on making a recipe using common ingredients and then discovered that the store doesn’t have it. Things like herbs and fresh produce are rarely restocked. The quality of the produce is low, especially considering how overpriced everything. They are definitely price gouging and taking advantage of the low income residents of the neighborhood.By Alex Taylor (2 months ago)I go to this Giant location because there is very little walking for me to get to the store. On this visit they had Christmas items priced from thirty cents to ninety cents. Some were wrapping paper, so I got some for ninety cents. When I checked out I realized it had charged me more than ninety cents. The clerk at the end of the self check out line saw me looking at my receipt and heard me say, “They overcharged me for this paper!” She then proceeded to tell me that the paper was $1.99 a roll, only the shorter rolls were ninety cents. I told her there is no price tag back there that says that, and where I got it from it says ninety cents! I told her that I was going back to the area where I got it from to check for myself.
There was no such sign confirming what she had stated. I when to customer service to return all of the paper and get my money back. The clerk in customer service went back to check for herself. She end up giving me the paper for ninety cents each!By Gwendolyn Young (Gwen) (a year ago)We usually try to do grocery pickup or delivery because going to this giant turns the mundane chore of grocery shopping into a hellscape. Today, my boyfriend went into the store and a man threatened to hit him in front of multiple giant employees who did nothing. I don’t expect them to directly get involved because it’s below their pay grade but why pay for security if you’re just going to let people act like that in the store. We try to support more locally owned businesses but back to Amazon Fresh it is.By Olivia B (3 weeks ago)
