This store is beautiful! All the aisles were clean, fully stocked and the groceries were pulled it the front.
The management team is doing a fantastic job of keeping this store in top condition.
The staff is amazing at keeping the store looking amazing.
The updated design of the store makes me feel welcome and comfortable while shopping.
The only thing I’d recommend are handles on the shopping bags. It’s a pain lugging your groceries around and it all has to be cradled in my arms. The option to buy Stop and Stop bags is great, but sometimes I just want to use what’s available when I forget to bring my own bags with handles.
By Donna Ware (5 months ago)The store manager there Sean Henry was very pleasant to work with. He assisted me with great customer service. He was polite , knowledgeable and very understanding. He is someone Company’s should use as a gold standard for customer service. Friendly , great communication skills and helpful!By william gaudet (2 months ago)I walked out of the store today, leaving a full cart. First, I tried the self-scanner because the full-service lines were understaffed. The machine registers errors with almost 4-5 items, so my checkout was punctuated by waits for the worker in that area, who was literally running from one self-scan register to another. Then, none of the digital coupons would go through. One simply wasn’t found on the app, despite being advertised on the store shelves, and two others apparently couldn’t be used, despite being ‘clipped’, because I hadn’t done so 20 minutes in advance. How on earth is this a viable couponing system? Who knows what they are going to buy prior to entering the store? I finally abandoned my cart there and went to Whole Foods. And here is the shocker: MANY of the exact items I bought, down to a certain brand of flavored mayo and a bag of kimchee, lemons and scallions, etc., were the same price or less expensive than at Stop & Shop. I was genuinely surprised. Surprisingly, even the check-out (for a full-service aisle) was quicker, although to be fair, that isn’t always the case. As Whole Foods is closer and has better customer service and fresher produce, despite being more crowded, I will just shop there in the future, at least on those days when I don’t have the time and planning to go out of Providence to a store that is genuinely bargain-oriented.By Beth Chaplin (3 months ago)Got what I needed and got out. Registers set up like Walmart. Atmosphere in store feels no different than being there. Had to check myself. Very dismayed. My anxiety was on 100 percent. Also suffering low blood sugar. If I collapsed no one cared.By Teresa Page (2 weeks ago)I liked this store…less than a mile away and everything I needed ☺️ you can’t beat that 👍 sushi 🍣 stuffed olives with blue cheese and on and on 🙂By Dusty Sommers (a week ago)

My preferred grocery store in the area is there.
Compared to other grocery stores in the area, they have the most fresh produce and veggies.
I especially adore the section with the ice cream.
They have the best range of ice cream.
Additionally, they provide sales on the best-quality ice cream.By EZ (5 months ago)I absolutely love whole foods. The fruits outstandingly fresh The meat is great. Does not hurt my body. I am so happy with them. I come from Providence all the way down to the other end which it’s not far. But I absolutely love it they have the best plant base options. When I change to eat to plant base I go there for everything. I’m a little upset that my chicken crispy plant-based went from $6 to $10By Julie Triggs Robinson (5 months ago)Whole Foods purports to be the source of the healthiest fare, but the median customer at this location looks like they’d be existentially threatened by a strong gust of wind.It is a great place to find some niche items, but as a day-to-day grocery, Rhode Island has much better to offer. The seafood and produce is comprehensive, but less local and fresh than many nearby options due to the company’s distribution structure.
If you feel like parting with $100-$150 for a bag of groceries or two, this is you place.
I gather they treat workers relatively well, as I’ve spotted a few faces that have been there for many years.
Take a deep dive into your map app and see if there are other stores that you haven’t tried, local fish markets or neighborhood groceries. I think you’d be surprised by how much more you’re paying if you do the bulk of your grocery shopping here.
By Marc Doughty (a month ago)Fresh produce and meats plus the new bank of self checkout registers added recently has mitigated the long wait times to check out which was the only negative thing I had to say about the North Main location. Even with the 10 or so new self checkout registers there are still the same amount of cashier run checkout lines open which has turned what was once a hassle stop after work to a surprisingly quick stop even though the location is packed and busy. This location has prioritized the guest experience as most businesses will install the self checkout lanes in place of cashiers as a cost reduction measure instead of a checkout time reduction measure for waiting guests.By Laura Graham (3 months ago)This Whole Foods has the regular array of groceries you expect, and sufficient customer service. It, however, has a small added charm that few Whole Foods do: It picked up the neighborhood vibe and quirky RI smallness.
Surprisingly, parking available! But easy walk from various local neighborhoods.By C.J. Williams (3 months ago)

Great place to do value food shopping. Do not purchase produce if your not going to consume it soon after purchase. With that said great prices, highly competitive prices on large inventory. Clean and well organized.By ray gauthier (a month ago)Would love to see them implement the quarter for cart idea would definitely clean up the parking lot.By Jhonatan Rijo (2 months ago)Place is very clean but they have mice problem just seen one running june 1st near meat section last time I go thereBy Michelle Castillo (7 months ago)Everything I needed and didn’t know I need all in one place lol.
