So they fire all the cashiers to install all self checkout…. Then shut down all the self checkout lanes… And only have a couple open with cashiers to check you out… Im confused…. Now you have to wait in a long line or behind people with huge carts… Because none of the self checkout lanes are open…. Then you have to wait in line to have your receipt checked at the door… Because they dont trust you to ring yourself up.. or the cashiers who ring you up… All the beef was outdated but not marked down…. Store was pretty clean… Somewhat stocked… But this store is going downhill… Not to mention they have cheap paper bags that rip.. and charge you for them…. Or you just have to walk out with a cart full of stuff and no bags… They should at least provide courtesy bags when you spend a certain amountBy Angie (4 months ago)Ugh…I have shopped here for years especially after they remodeled several years ago, but recently this store has slid downhill rapidly. From the new checkout lanes (half of them closed) with only self-service to the new security checks of your receipts like a W*****t to the surly customer service managers who aren’t interested in issues or feedback, G***t down the street or the new forthcoming Weg**n’s will be my new go-to stores.By Andrew Rasey (4 months ago)Google and online should match up with the stores hours. I traveled to DE and I came at 10:03pm to the store to pick up a few items… the workers told us the store was closed however, other people were let in the store to shop, as well, there were at least 6 people still shopping for items. The lady kept telling us they close at 10 not 12am. If so, why were they letting people in? I went to check out my few items and was waiting behind another customer, I was told by the attendant at the front of the store I couldn’t use that lane because it was closed( mind you stood there at least 3minutes)
The other lane had customers with a cart FULL. I proceeded to get water and when I came back she opened the new lane and let another customer get in front of me…. Will not be returning if I get the chance… do better. And don’t get mad the customers are taking long IF YOU LET THEM IN!By Courtney Daniels (5 months ago)This store used to be quite good – even through the height of the pandemic. But it has declined majorly in the past year or so. I like the food choices that ShopRite offers, but everything else about this particular store makes shopping here a major drag. For one, the people that shop here are largely rude and entitled – parking in multiple spaces, leaving carts everywhere, and with lots of misbehaved children. I could put up with that if it weren’t for the fact that the staff are perfunctory at best and can barely be bothered to lift a finger. But the straw that really breaks the camel’s back is the checkout experience. I thought that when they switched to all self checkout, it would speed up. Instead, it’s slower than ever because so few lanes are ever open – less than half at any given time but often less. Even in the express area that has long been self checkout, fewer than half of the registers work or are open. It’s beyond frustrating. Suffice it so say, once the new Wegmans opens, I doubt I’ll ever be back.By Jordan Barrett (3 months ago)They’ve gotten rid of all check-out clerks, so guess what, you’re the employee now checking yourself out. Add insult to injury: they make you wait in line to leave the store so they can look at your receipt and see what? Oh, now I have to be my own check-out clerk, and then they have to verify that I am not a criminal at the door on the way out. Hell to the no, I won’t be back.By Ken Brill (4 months ago)

My wife and i used to like shopping here. Then they remodeled the cashier lanes and they are just a mess! It takes twice as long to check out due to the cashier standing in the lane with you and awkwardly trying to work around each other, because they don’t bag just scan everything. Way to make the worst part of shopping even less convenient and user friendly.By Victor DuFour (a month ago)This review is for the shopping at home department which sucks. I placed an order for delivery and the majority of the items out of stock. Therefore I wanted to cancel the entire order because the main items I needed was of of stock. I had to pay a $14.95 delivery fee for some fruit & dog treats…there’s no way to cancel order and no number to call. Plus some of the fruit was spoiled never again. I will stick with Walmart at least you can cancel order. As a suggestion do not offer the service if the shelves are emptyBy Terri Power (a month ago)In an effort for more profits they went 100% self checkout and then have the nerve to check your receipt as you leave!! No more face to face at the deli counter. If you didn’t watch them, your meats and cheeses were either shaved or too thick. They don’t understand “thin” now you have to use a kiosk to order and come back 30 maybe 30+ minutes later to get your lunch meat. Then they have the audacity to charge you 10 cents for a brown bag that rips with 3 lbs of groceries in it. Oh and they changed the aisles for everything so now you are walking around forever trying to find things. Time to go to another grocery store cause this one is horrible!!By Anna Marie Davis (2 months ago)The store has switched to all self-checkout registers, yet only about half of them are open at any one time. Today I scanned a loaf of bread, and it came up as an “unidentified item” and told me to wait for an employee. I look over at one of two employees sitting on a bench ten feet away. One ignores me, and one looks at me and says, “Did you scan the barcode?” Yes……Yes, I scanned the barcode. She read the screen and said “Unidentified item. Huh.” and sat back down to continue her conversation with two coworkers. After I stood there stunned for a few seconds, a fourth employee came over and fixed the issue at my register.
After you get through checking out, identifying unidentified items, replacing items in the bagging area, etc. you have to stop and wait in another line to have your receipt checked before you can leave the store. The prices at ShopRite aren’t much different from Acme. You can find me there.
By Brilynn Brothers (3 months ago)Absolutely horrible. Went in and started shopping at 4:10 by 4:15 my order was placed on the new kiosk for lunch meat. The kiosk stated it would be a 30 minute wait (which is ridiculous considering it would take 10 minutes with a packed deli and no kiosk) so I decided to finish shopping. I ran over right before checking out and look in the fridge and the bag with my name on it says that product was out of stock (at this point it’s 5:10) so I placed ANOTHER order & waited for 30 minutes AGAIN, and that was also out of stock. So I placed a 3rd order (as i should’ve been top priority since they saw me order 3 separate times now) They walked out with 4 other orders besides mine. When I tried to speak with them they looked at me multiple times without saying a word. Ended up leaving with no lunch meat.By Stephanie Whitley (2 months ago)

Thanks to the cleaning staff we have no place to put our trash. 👏👏👏Congratulations cleaning staff you’re doing a wonderful job.By The Sheik (3 months ago)Today i was in the deli at this store, and it will definitely be my last. The employee young man behind the counter talking to other employee that was cutting deli meat and i stood there waiting for him to ask if i needed help, after 5 minutes he comes to the counter and ask me what i needed, and i saw when he handed me my cold cuts he had no gloves on, and they had questionable clean habits. Zero customer service skills. Going to Acme, nicer store, nice employees, basically the same a little higher, but better.By larry cazes (4 months ago)I went this evening at 11:40pm to grab some baby formula for my baby. While I understand closing time is 12 am, I don’t understand who authorized the employees to close the store early. I already do all the work myself: ring up my stuff, bag the items, and bring my own bags for the items. There is literally nothing left for the employees to do, so I don’t understand what was the urgency in closing early. I’m not sure how I will feed my baby tonight, but it would be nice if you guys closed the store at the supposed closing time being as though emergencies do happen.
Signed, a grouch momma with a hungry grouchy baby 🙁
By Latisha Taylor (2 months ago)Store Supervisor with short reddish brown hair is very rude. Her own employee’s have shared experiences with her, with me! No compassion for folks with disabilities. Scooters are never hooked up to charge while cart employees stand around playing on their phones. Aside from that, this is a great store. Produce is fresh but fruit is never ripe. Most emplyees are very friendly and go out of their way to help you.By Monica Maciejewski (a week ago)I think this store could and is a great shop! Your employee’s absolutely are the worst of the worst, not just one interaction but have been shopping here 3 months all of your employees seem to hate their jobs and are rude to customers and offer little to no customer service. It’s a shame because the store and selection is greatBy R R (2 months ago)
